He died March 8, 1997, at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. Funeral services were held March 11 at Big Cussetah United Methodist Church with Rev. Jimmy ALEXANDER and Rev. Harry LONG officiating. Pallbearers were Namon BULLET, Howard SMITH, Perry BEAVER, John TULSA, Garry BERRYHILL, and Glen JONES. Honorary pallbearers were his nephews. He was a construction worker and a longtime resident of Morris. He was the son of George Tooskey and Maryland Harjo WILLIE. His father was deceased. His mother survives. His other survivors include his wife, Augustine Lowe WILLIE; his son, Tooskey WILLIE of Tulsa; two brothers, Johnny WILLIE of Morris, and Wilson WILLIE of Tulsa; four sisters, Georgia LAYTON of Okmulgee, Carolyn JOHN of Idabel, and Katherine WILLIE and Christine BERRYHILL, both of Morris; and many nieces and nephews.
