Funeral services were held October 16 at Big Cussetah United Methodist Church. Officiating ministers were Thomas ROUGHFACE and David LONG, Jr. Pallbearers were Brant BEAVER, Brent BEAVER, William P. BEAVER, Gino BEAVER, Del Vince BEAVER, John WITTMAN, Drew WITTMAN, and Kyle WITTMAN. Burial was a Big Cussetah Cemetery. He attended Morris Public Schools, the University of Oklahoma and graduated from Oklahoma State Technical School’s radio-television electronics program in 1957. He played sports in both high school and college, coached the “Red Feathers” women’s fastpitch softball team for several years, worked in youth sports as well as senior citizens organizations, and was very active at Big Cussetah Church all his life. Preceeding him in death were both of his parents, John and Della (FOX) BEAVER, and two siblings, John BEAVER, Jr. and Juanita BEAVER. Survivors include his wife, Blanche YEAGER; daughters Della WALKING SKY of TX, Terri BEAVER of OK, Anita DANEY, Reta BEAVER, Leila BEAVER, and Karen GEYER all of KS; brothers R. Terry BEAVER and Mose A. BEAVER of OK; sisters Letha RUTHERFORD of AZ, Cora BERRYHILL , Hannah BEAVER, Miley Ann HARGIS, Sally WITTMAN, and Martha Jean FROMAN all of OK; nine grandchildren; an uncle Benjamin BEAVER of OK, and an aunt, Sallie MOORE of OK.
