She was born September 7, 1895, in Indian Territory, south of what is now Glenpool, OK to parents Robert T. and Alice Ann BARBER. She was the daughter of Broken Arrow Tribal Town. She was preceeded in death by her parents, her paterrnal grandparents, Silas H. and Sarah Posey BARBER, and her paternal great-grandparents, Benjamin and Liza Berryhill POSEY, her husband Sim GRIFFITH, and two sons, Earl and Howard. Survivors include four granddaughter; one grandson; four great-granddaughter; one greatgrandson; one great-great-granddaughter, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
