We was a WWII veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp and a career truck driver. Services were held Feb. 13 at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery with Rev. Dale CAREY officiation. Interment was in the national cemetery. He was the son of Peter and Martha "Geegoowie" (BUSTER) WASHINGTON, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Joan; son Joe WASHINGTON, Jr., daughters Sandra CAREY of Porter, Janet WASHINGTON of Oktaha, and Jo Lynn SMITH of Enid; stepdaughters Karen TILTON of Checotah and Kathy SORRELL of Winchester, VA; 13 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild
