She died September 24, 1986, in an Oklahoma City hospital. She was a member of Newtown Methodist Church. Wake services were held September 26 and funeral services were September 17 at the First Indian Baptist Church of Shawnee. She was preceded in death by daughter, Ailene SCHWEIGHTER, and son, Larry Bruce HICKS. She was married to Henry HICKS of Dustin. He survives. Other survivors include three sons, Henry HICKS, Jr., of Oklahoma City, and Speedy HICKS and Brian HICKS, both of Shawnee; four daughters, Georgia STINER, Elain HAWKINS, Penny MURDOCK and Kathy LINDSEY, all of Shawnee; her mother, Sarah SIMMERS of Okmulgee; 24 grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
