He was born a full blood Creek in Oklahoma in approximately 1924 (no date was given.) Services and burial were private and no details were given. He had worked for Painters Local 100 for ten years. His wife reported that he preferred working at great heights and once painted the top of the Delaware Memorial Bridge. He took disability retirement in 1976. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and participated in 13 naval battles as a crewman aboard the USS San Juan (CL-54) in the Pacific. He also served in the Air Force during the Korean War as a crew chief. He was a member of the Diamond State Veterans of Foreign Wars: the Guadalcanal Group, and the San Juan Reunion Group. He is survived by his wife, Ann Rogers HENNEHA, formerly of Lewes, Delaware, a stepdaughter, Peggy BOWMAN of Lewes; three half-brothers, John SIMM ONS of Sacramento, CA, Jack BIGPOND of Torrence, CA, and Artus Tom HENNEHA of Okemah; three half-sisters, Jeane TILLEY of Mason, Bessy Henneha BELL of Okmulgee, and Ida Henneha TILLEY of Okemah; three step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.
