HENRY was born August 4, 1914, in Schulter. He died in April , 1986. No day was given. Funeral services were held in Tahlequah with the Rev. Jimmie THOMAS officiating. Burial was in the Okmulgee Cemetery. He was a staff sergeant with the 46th infantry during World War II. He earned a Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars for his service in Italy and Europe. He was a member of VFW Post 3707, Disabled American Veterans, Northeast Tia-Piah, and the Tahlequah Indian Club. He worked for Phillips Petroleum until he retired in 1976. He married Muriel GREEN in 1945 in Sapulpa. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Galela TOMKIN of Fairfax and Linda CUSHER of Okmulgee; three step-daughters, Dee WALL of Henryetta, and Susie SANDERS and Mary BROWN both of Tahlequah; one step-son, R. T. (So ny) TIGER of Tulsa; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
