John JACOBS was born December 1, 1903, in McIntosh County. He died January 18, 1984, in a Henryetta nursing home. The body was taken to the church on January 20 and funeral services were held January 21 at the Arbeka Indian Baptist Church, where he was a member. Services were officiated by Rev. Bill BEAVER and Rev. John LOWE. Interment was in the Jacobs family cemetery. He was a retired minister and served for many years as a missionary preacher. He retired in 1981. He married Susan DAVIS in Ft. Smith, AR. She preceded him in death in 1978. His survivors include three sons, Samuel JACOBS of Checotah, Joseph JACOBS and Timothy JACOBS, both of Henryetta; one daughter, Leona JOSIE of Henryetta; one brother, Louis JACOBS of Henryetta; 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
