He died January 17, 1984, in the Henryetta Medical Center. He was taken to the church January 19 and funeral services were conducted January 10 (20?) at the Hutchachuppa Indian Baptist Church, where he was a member. Officiating was Rev. Jessee BRYANT. Interment was in Hutchachuppa Cemetery. He was married to Nellie WEST in Okmulgee County. She preceded him in death in 1971. His survivors include two daughters, Alice HARJO of Seminole and Sallie WATSON of Henryetta; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
