She died February 17, 1986, at a Tulsa hospital. Funeral services were conducted at Weogufgee Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member. Funeral directions was under Buckley Funeral Home of Wetumka. Burial was at Weogufkee Cemetery. She had attended Eufaula Boarding School and Bacone College in Muskogee and was an active member and women's elder of Weogufgee for over 70 years, holding many offices in the Muskogee, Seminole and Wichita Indian Baptist Association over the years. She married Simon SPANIARD in Dustin in 1920. He preceded her in death. Her survivors include her son, Andrew SPANIARD of Okmulgee, a grandson, Michael SPANIARD of Okmulgee; three granddaughters, Andra BARNETT and Kogee DAVIS, both of Okmulgee, and Karen BARNETT of Coweta; 10 great grandchildren and one great great-grandson.
