He died January 2, 1986, in a Tulsa hospital. Wake services were held January 5 with the funeral services on January 6 at First Indian Baptist Church, where he was a member. Services were officiated by Bridge CHUCKLUCK, Jr.. Pallbearers were Earl KELLY, Matt TIGER, Kenneth TIGER, Bill RICHARDS, Sandy ROBERTS and Joe McNAC. Interment was in the Okmulgee Cemetery. He was an employee for 16 years at Oklahoma State University, Technical Branch. He was married to Betty BUTLER in March of 1971. He is survived by his wife, of the home; four step-children, Bobby HARJO, Stanley HARJO, Sonja GRIMES and Thomasine PHILLIPS, all of Okmulgee; a sister Wanda CRICKLIN of Midwest City; an uncle, Thomas WASHINGTON of Okmulgee; several grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
