Funeral services were conducted December 18 at Fosters Ivory Chapel at Petering Funeral Home. No other information was given on his birthdate or of the funeral service. Interment was in the Memorial Park Cemetery. He was a former Muskogee City Councilman and Muskogee County Tag Agent. He was an original allottee of the Creek Nation. Survivors include his two daughters, Dana SKINNER of Dallas, TX, and Margaret DEAN of Tulsa; two brothers, Gifford SMITH of Sonora, CA, and Victor SMITH of Escondido, CA; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
