He died February 21, 1986, in Okmulgee. Wake services were held February 23 and funeral services were held the next day. Both services were at Big Cussetah United Methodist Church, where he was a member. Interment was in the Military Circle of the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the Buchanan-McClendon Funeral Home. He was employed for 28 years at the T. H. Rogers Lumber Company and had served in the United States Army during World War II. Survivors include his two brothers, Johnson TARPALACHEE and Henry TARPALACHEE, both of Okmulgee; two sisters, Mahaley JONES of Okmulgee and Mulsey LONG of Phoenix, AZ; and a step-daughter, Marion DAVIS of Okmulgee.
