She died January 27, 1984, in Bakersfield, CA. Funeral services were held January 27 in Bakersfield at Hillcrest Mortuary Chapel. Officiating was Rev. C.E. HANES of the Free Will Baptist Church of Bakersfield, where she was a member. No information was given on the place of interment. She was employed at the Kern Medical Center until retirement in 1973. She was a member of the Kern County Retired Employees Association and the Ladies Auxillary of the Bakersfield Memorial Hospital. Her daughter Jean West RICHARDSON preceded her in death in 1975. Her survivors include her husband (name not given) of the home; a son Jimmy Lee WEST of Okmulgee; one brother, Frank NOLEN of Lancaster, CA; five sisters, Thelma CORNFIELD and Nadine WHITFIELD, both of Bakersfield, CA, Virginia LOVELACE of CA, Ruth PERKINS and Betty Jean NOLEN, both of Oklahoma; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
