ALBERT was born April 21 sometime in the late 1880s in Okemah, Indian Territory. He died February 25, 1988. Funeral services were held February 29 in the Arbeka Indian Baptist Church with Rev. John Lowe officiating. Pallbearers were Eddie ROBISON, James MORGAN, Ron THOMPSON, Kenneth BLAIR, Gary FLEETWOOD and J.R. GARDENHIRE. Full military honors were conducted by members of the Okmulgee VFW Post 1189, where he had been the oldest living member. No place of interment was given. He died at approximately 101 years old. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of High Springs Baptist Church. His survivors included one son, Virgil C. ALBERT of Tucson, AZ; five daughters, Lillian LEYBAS, Gladys LANDSBERRY, Joan DAGGETT and Sue WHITE, all of Okmulgee, and Nancy KALER of Weleetka; 36 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
