He died April 23, 1989, in an Okemah Hospital. Funeral services were held April 27 at the Alabama Baptist Church with the Rev. Moe SCOTT officiating. Pallbearers were Gene MANLEY, Alfred WISE, Bill WISE, Lloyd ROPER, Steve RANDALL and Rocky RANDALL. Graveside military rites were conducted by the Henryetta VFW at the Birdcreek Family Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Merritt Funeral Service of Henryetta. He served in the U.S. Navy during both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 539 in Henryetta. His survivors include his wife, Sarah BIRDCREEK of the home; three sons, Henry BIRDCREEK of Lawrence, KS, Adrian BIRDCREEK of Weleetka, and Lewis BIRDCREEK of Bellflower, CA; and one brother, Amos BIRDCREEK of Lawrence, KS.
