He died in 1988 at the age of 74 in the Wewoka Memorial hospital. No death date or funeral date was given other than he died on Thursday and services were Monday. Funeral services were held at Salt Creek Indian Methodist Church, where he was a member. Burial was in the Holdenville Cemetery under the direction of Hudson Funeral Home. He was a resident of Hughes County all his life and was a great fan of gospel singing. He was a retired produce manager and a veteran of World War II. He married Ella Mae JOSHUA in September, 1935 in Muskogee. She preceded him in death July 16, 1973. Also preceding him in death were a daughter, Ruby Catherine PROCTOR, in 1983; one brother, Robert PROCTOR, in March 1979. His survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, David and Shirley PROCTOR of Bartlesville; three grandchildren, James PROCTOR and Davina PROCTOR, both of Bartlesville, and Deon McDANIEL of Moore; and one special dear and close friend, Anna Mae WALKER of Seminole.
