Harley ROBERTS, Sr., was born April 23, 1923, in Okfuskee County. He died April 14, 1988, at his home east of the Last Chance community in Okfuskee County. Funeral services were held April 18 at the Nuyaka Indian Church with Rev. George DOYLE of Coweta officiating. Interment was in Nuyaka Church Cemetery. He married Elizabeth MASHBURN on July 19, 1961. She survives. Other survivors include his four sons, Harley G. ROBERTS and Amos ROBERTS, both of Okemah, Sammy ROBERTS of Rattan, and Mitchell ROBERTS of Aurora, IL; his six daughters, Nellie ROBERTS, Rosie ROBERTS, Louise McNAC and LaDonna BEACH, all of Okemah, Martha FIXICO of Castle, and Lucy Mae CLOUD of Bristow; one brother, Stanley ROBERTS of Okmulgee; two sisters, Ina HICKS and Susie GAMMILL, both of Okemah; 33 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
