He died July 3, 1988, at Muskogee Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held July 6 at Little Coweta Indian Baptist Church, where he was a member. Services were officiated by Rev. Daniel PHILLIPS. Pallbearers were Russell REED, Russel LANHAM, Pete POLARD, Robert McGUIRE, Randy LEEPER and Bill NIXON. Interment was at the Leena Cemetery under the direction of Merritt Funeral Service. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a truck driver by profession. He was preceded in death by his father, Bennet SPURLOCK in 1986. He is survived by his wife, Raquel "Rickie” SPURLOCK of the home; his mother Doris SPURLOCK of Eufaula; a son and daughter-in-law, Allen Lee and Delores SPURLOCK of Stidham; two stepsons, Gary GEORGE of Wetumka, and Ricky GEORGE of Jewitt City, CN; three brothers, David SPURLOCK of West Covina, CA, Alvin L. SPURLOCK of Sapulpa, and John R. SPURLOCK of Muskogee; a sister, Ginger LANHAM of Vian; and two grandchildren.
