She died January 30, 1988, in Okmulgee. Wake services were held February 1 at the Buchanan Memorial Chapel with Rev. Thomas LONG officiating. Funeral services were held February 1 in the Big Cussetah Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Willie GOODEN. Grandsons and son-in-laws served as pallbearers. No information was given on where she was interred. She was a member of Big Cussetah Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women's Association, and a native of Okmulgee County. Surviving her were her husband, Henry TARPALECHEE of the home; her two sons, Edward TARPALECHEE and Yarne TARPALECHEE, both of Okmulgee; her five daughters, Twyla BEAVER of Henryetta, Cheryl GRAYSON of Beggs, Henrietta JACOBS of Tulsa, Tina TARPALECHEE of Morris, and Teresa JENNINGS of Okmulgee; a half-brother, Roman KINARD of Pauls Valley; a sister, Martha BERRYHILL of Oakland, CA; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
