He died March 19, 1990, in Medesto, CA. Services were held at the Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel in Modesto. No other information was given on his funeral services or interment. He was the son of Sauce and Dora CHILDERS, who are deceased. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy F. CHILDERS, of Ceres, CA; his two sons, Marchie Joe CHILDERS of Arkansas, and James CHILDERS of Modesto, CA; four step-children, Becky BAILEY, Donna MCDONALD, Ray HEATHCOCK, all of Ceres, CA, and Larry HEATHCOCK of Phoenix, AZ; Three brothers, Newman CHILDERS of Tulsa, and Dan CHILDERS and Buddy CHILDERS, both of Checotah; six sisters, Melvina BROUGH of Tulsa, Elizabeth JACOBS of Checotah, Rachel KISSEY of Muskogee, Sarah McCLAIN of Bixby, Bobbie THAMES of Okmulgee, and Emma Lee STANLEY of Parker, AZ; one aunt, Sue HARPER of Checotah; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
