He died September 1, 1990. Funeral services were held September 4 at the Hickory Ground No. 1 Baptist Church, where he was a member. Officiating the service were Rev. Mitchell TAYLOR and Rev. Chris HARJO. Pallbearers were ryan B. HARJO, Chris C. HARJO, John KINGFISHER, Paul McNAC, George JACOBS, and Wallace GAMBLER. Burial was at the Hickory Ground No. 1 Baptist Cemetery. He was a construction worker and a U.S. Marine veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Freeman and Nancy HARJO. His survivors included his five sons, Jeremie HARJO, Yzetka HARJO, Cody HARJO, Carey HARJO and Casey HARJO, all of Okmulgee; his two daughters, Nakota HARJO of Okmulgee, and Delaine Jo HARJO of Bixby; three Brothers, Jim HARJO of Tulsa, Mitchell HARJO of Okmulgee, and Frank HARJO of Henryetta; and one sister, Rachel KINGFISHER of Bixby.
