He died September 3, 1990, at Westlake Nursing Center in Oklahoma City. Funeral services were September 6 at Greenleaf Indian Baptist Church with Rev. John BURGESS officiating. Pallbearers were Jerry DEERE, Nathaniel HARJO, Dewayne COON, Van JOHNSON, Ralph HENNEHA, and Thomas DEERE. Burial was in the Quasardy Cemetery. He was a factory worker and the son of Newman and Anser Barnett HARJO, Sr., both deceased. His survivors include his wife, Betty Mae HARJO, of the home; and three brothers, Richard HARJO, Edward HARJO, and Newman HARJO, Jr.
