She died Apri l1, 1990. Funeral services were held April 7. Burial was at the Scott Family Cemetery south of Henryetta. She was a member of the Thawalee Indian Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wess WATTS, on August 12, 1978. Her survivors include her son, Clyde WATTS of Checotah; her two daughters, Marilyn SABINE of Garner Valley, CA, and Virginia RYAN of Chino, CA; one broother, Claude TIGER of Weleetka; three sisters, Elizabeth THOMAS of Wichita, KS, Lucy BROWN of Weleetka, and Louise SMITH of Wichita, KS; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. EMERSON Checotah - Robin Shellea EMERSON was born June 7, 1955, in Muskogee. She died April 6, 1990, at Muskogee Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held April 6 at the First Baptist Church in Checotah, where she was a member. Officiating the service were Rev. Elbert SMITH and Rev. Richard FORD. Pallbearers were Randy KNIGHT, Windsor LLEWELLYN, Jim CANNON, Lee STIDHAM, Wayne WILLIAMS, and Lee MARSHALL. Burial was in the Greenlawn Cemetery. She was a sixth grade science teacher in the Checotah Public School System. She coached sixth grade girls basketball and was named teacher of the year in 1989. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxilliary. She was the daughter of Dan and Keitha Sneed CHILDERS, who survive. Her other survivors include her husband, Jay EMERSON, of the home; her children, Josh EMERSON, Jeremy EMERSON,and Jamie EMERSON, all of the home; one sister, Dana MINNICK of Checotah; and her grandmother, Opal SNEED of Checotah.
