He died April 19, 1961, in Henryetta. Funeral services were held April 23, 1991, in Shurden Chapel. Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Weleetka. He was retired from the City of Weleetka. He was a member of the Honey Creek Methodist Church and a World War II veteran. He was survived by his father, Mitchell LARNEY of Weleetka; three brothers, Richard W. LARNEY of Henryetta, Samuel Lee LARNEY of El Monte, CA, and James F. LARNEY of Auburn, CA; two sisters, Charlotte F. SYDEN of Irving, TX, and Josephine K. NOAH of Weleetka.
