He died February 3, 1991. Graveside services were held February 7at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Air Force Chaplain David Johnson officiating. Pallbearers were the U.S. Army Guard, Fort Riley, KS. Honorary pallbearers were William A. RIDDLE, Traina RIDDLE, Calvin MARTIN, Gary GEORGE, Woxie LYDAY and Gabe LYDAY. He had served in the U.S. Army for 28 years and retired as a first sargeant. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Naomi RIDDLE, a brother, Prentis RIDDLE, and sisters, Lillian RIDDLE and Phibbie RIDDLE. His survivors included his sons, William RIDDLE of Wichita, KS, and Traina RIDDLE of Laguna Beach, CA; his two daughters, Leah GEORGE and Sabrina MARTIN, both of Grand Forks Air Force Base, ND; brothers Cab RIDDLE of Kansas City MO, Haskell LYDAY, Woxie LYDA and Gabe LYDAY, all of Wichita, KS, Cecil LYDAY of Rockville, MD; sisters Ardena JOHNSON and Maxine WILLIAMS, both of Wichita, KS, Hazel ELBERT of Bowie, MD, and Sophie LYDAY of Charleston, VA; three grandchildren, Alexandria MARTIN, Emmanuel MARTIN, and William M. RIDDLE.
