He died August 30, 1991, in Tulsa. Funeral services were held September 2 in the Merritt Cottage Chapel with Rev. Christopher HARJO serving as clergyman. Pallbearers were Howard WEST, Charles WEST, Gene HARJO, Daniel WEST, Jess SCOTT and Paul MCNAC. Burial was in the Hutchechuppa Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Louise Kelly WEST. His survivors included his brother, Bill WEST of Weleetka; his six sisters, Lillian WEST and Esther WEST, of the home, Wanda KING and Mary WEST, both of Henryetta, Sally WEST of Weleetka, and Ann PARTON of Oklahoma City.
