He died January 6, 1992, at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City. Funeral services were held in January 8 at Yeager Methodist Church with Rev. Tom LOWE officiating. Pallbearers were Merle BERRYHILL, Charles FRANKS, Chris FRANKS, Thomas LOWE, James LOWE, and Dwayne LOWE. Interment was at the Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, under the direction of Hudson Funeral Home. He was a U.S. Naval veteran of World War II. He had lived in California for 29 years until he retired from the motion picture industry and returned to Wewoka in 1973. He participated in the building of the Seminole Nation Museum in Wewoka and was a member of Arbeka Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister, one son, Jess Edwin DAVIS, and one grandson, Eddie DAVIS. He was married to the former Emma Lou LOWE on October 8, 1984. She survives. He is also survived by one son, Madison B. DAVIS of Hobart; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
