He died January 22, 1992, at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services were held at the First Assembly of God Church in Henryetta, with Sister Judy WAINWRIGHT officiating, assisted by Sister Maxine VANCE. Pallbearers were Connie DODGE, George BUSSEY, Bobby POWELL, Billy SPURLOCK, Jimmy SISSON, and Jack YOUNG. Interment was at the Westlawn Cemetery. He was a member of the Apostolic House of Prayer in Henryetta. He served in the U.S. Navy in both World War II and the Korean Conflict and was retired from the U.S. Public Health Service in October 1986 after 19 years. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael G. HAMILTON on October 11, 1967, his parents, George and Emma HAMILTON; two brothers, Bob HAMILTON and Bill HAMILTON; and a sister, Rachel ESTES. He was married to Betty Jo SPURLOCK May 2, 1946, in Henryetta. She survives. His other survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Teresa HAMILTON, and their children, Jeremy and Haley HAMILTON, all of Henryetta; his daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Joe LANE, and their children John, Chris and Jenny LANE, and Bonnie HEFNER, all of the Wilson Community; four sisters, Eunice LOCKHART of Henryetta, Augusta BEEN of Tiger Mountain, Mary REOH of Ramondsville, TX, and Dorothy MASSEY of Red Bluff, CA; one brother, George HAMILTON of San Bernadino, CA; and several nieces and nephews.
