He died November 4, 1992 in Henryetta. No information was given on the place or time of the funeral services or interment except his pallbearers were Noah TIGER, Phillip HARJO, Huey BUCKLEY, Ace BUCKNER, Nathaniel HARJO, and Jackson HARJO, Jr.. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1949 to 1953 and belonged to the Faith Baptist Church in Dustin. He was the son of Mitchell and Louise HARJO, both deceased. Also preceding him in death were his brother, Richmond HARJO, and his sister, Ruth FIELDS; He was married to Florence CARR in Henryetta on November 6, 1982. She died with him in a November 4 traffic accident. His survivors include his three daughters, Estelline HARJO, Sue Ann HARJO, and Naomi Ruth HARJO, all of Palo Alto, CA; two sons, Billy Joe HARJO of Kenwood, CA, and Daniel HARJO of Santa Clara, CA; three brothers, Christopher HARJO of Henryetta, Albert HARJO of Okemah, and Sandea HARJO of Dallas, TX; one sister, Fannie Mae JOHNSON of Compton, CA; 12 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of loving friends and relatives.
