He died December 31, 1991, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Final rites were held at the Foyil Methodist Church. Burial was in the Wards Grove Cemetery. He attended Claremore High School and was a student at Oklahoma State University in Okmulgee. He was a member of Locust Grove Covers Chapel Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George and Elsie LEWIS. He was the son of William Don and Waukmis Louise LEWIS. He is survived by his mother, of Claremore, and his father and step-mother, Don and Mary “Jo Jo” LEWIS, of Foyil; his son, Chebon Rider LEWIS of Claremore; his brother, Gary Lewis of Bushyhead; his sister, Sandra LEWIS of Oklahoma City; stepbrother, Mitchell REAVIS of Ft. Hood, TX; stepsisters, Melissa REAVIS and Tammy SEXTON, both of Tulsa, and Tonya SMITH of Claremore; and maternal grandparents, Rev. Lee and Helen CHUPCO of Muskogee.
