She died July 30, 1992, at Okemah. No information was give on the place or date of funeral services. Pallbearers were Steve YAHOLA, Leonard YAHOLA, James KING, John Sherman KING, Charles TAYLOR, and Dennis CONARD. Honorary pallbearers were Fred JONES, Jimmie JONES, Samuel YAHOLA, James STENSGARD, Mike STERBACK, and David KING. No information was given on her interment. She was a member of Montesoma Baptist Church, was head women’s leader of the church, served as women’s missionary union treasurer, Sunday school teacher, treasurer of the WMU managing board on the Betty Drew Committe, and on the WMU finance committee. She was active in association work before the Muscogee-Seminole-Wichita Baptist Association assembly ground became permanent. She also taught non-readers scriptures. Outside of church, she was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1189. She was a gold star mother, having lost her son, Chester, in World War II. She was the wife of Deacon James SCOTT of Montesoma Church. No information was given on whether he was deceased or living. Preceding her in death were her two son, Chester BIGGS and James LARNEY; her sister, Martha STRAYHORN; one granddaughter, Diane STENSGARD; and her brother, Abraham YAHOLA. She was the daughter of William Green YAHOLA and Winey HICKS, both deceased. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth DAVIS of Okmulgee; five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
