He died January 13, 1992, in Okmulgee. Funeral services were held January 18 at the First Baptist Church South in Beggs, with Rev. Willie ANTWINE officiating. Pallbearers were Dewitt ANTWINE, Wesley ANTWINE, Willie ANTWINE, Jr., Ashiah ANTWINE, Howard ANTWINE, and Joe GIBBS. Interment was at the Westlawn Cemetery. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church before joining Tuskegee Baptist Church. His first wife was Marie MUNSON, deceased. He later married Annie GRANT, who survives. His other survivors include his son, Wallace TATE of Okmulgee; three sisters, Lillie MUNSON of Tulsa, Ellen WASHINGTON, and Ida SWAIN, both of Los Angeles; and one grandchild.
