He died December 24, 1991, at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held December 28 at Big Cussetah United Methodist Church, where he was a member. Pallbearers were Billy JONES, Glen JONES, Floyd JONES, Terry JONES, Jr., Edward TARPALECHEE, Yarme TARPALECHEE, Darrell TARPALECHEE, Bobby JENNINGS and Buddy BEAVER. No information was given on the place of interment. He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the 45th Division, Company K, 179th Infantry of Okmulgee. In addition to his church membership, he was an honorary member of the United Methodist Women and a member of the Retired Senior Methodists. We was preceded in death by his parents, Miller and Nancy TARPALECHEE; his wife, Nina TARPALECHEE; and two brothers Yarme TARPALECHEE and Martin TARPALECHEE. His survivors include his daughter, Debi JOHNSON, a grandson, Mekko Tarpalechee RILEY, and a granddaughter, Meske Chenena JUNEAU, all of Okmulgee; sister Mulsey LONG of Phoenix, AZ; one brother, Henry TARPALECHEE of Okmulgee, and several nieces and nephews.
