DALGAN was born November 21, 1923, in Eufaula. He died December 26, 1992,R in Durango, CO, where he made his home. A song service was held January 2 and funeral services followed on Jauary 2, at Merritt Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gary HAWKINS officiating. Graveside services were conducted by Rev. Amos BEAN. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery. He was a graduate of Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, taught at Eufaula Indian Boarding School, retired from the Bureau of Indian Affairs, then taught school in Chinle, AZ. His teaching career spanned 38 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II. He was the son of John and Firsey Mitchell DALGARN, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Helen RICE. He was married in 1947 in Ft. Smith, AR, to Sue BEAR, who survives. His other survivors include his children, Sharon FRANZ and Robert DALGARN, both of Durango, CO; one brother, John DALGARN of Miami; four grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
