He died November 18, 1993, in Sapulpa. Funeral services were held November 19 at First Grace Church, where he was a member. Pastor Bob THOMAS, Brother Leon BARNHART and Brother Bill BETHEL officiated. Pallbearers were Tracy POWELL, Aaron HUNTER, Jay HUNTER, Lee PUTNAM, Leroy MELSON, and Roger MELSON. Interment was in Bixby Cemetery. He lived all his life in the Glenpool area and was employed at various occupations such as sheetrocking, tape installing, licensed welder, and mechanic. He most recently was employed by Gulf Oil Company and had retired from the Hilltop Corporation in 1977. He was a deacon at First Grace Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Sim L. GRIFFITH, and a brother, Howard GRIFFITH. He was married to Dorothy WILLIAMSON in 1946. She survives. He is also survived by his mother, Shellie L. Barber GRIFFITH; his daughters, Phyllis E. HUSE of Glenpool; son-in-law, Michael HUSE of Glenpool; granddaughter, Shellie Sim BERRY; and numerous cousins, nieces and friends.
