She died in January 1993. No day of death was given. Funeral services were held January 23 at Salt Creek United Methodist Church in Holdenville and in Newtown Methodist Church in Okmulgee. Rev. David Long, Jr., officiated the service. No information was given on the place of interment. She was raised in Holdenville and had attended Eufaula Boarding School in Eufaula and Haskell Indian School in Lawrence, KS. She was a member or Honey Creek United Mathodist Church west of Okmulgee. She was a Creek Nation Head Start teacher at Sapulpa. She was the daughter of Amos and Minnie Hunter FIXICO, both deceased. She was married at Salt Creek in 1949 to Thomas LONG. He survives. She is also survived by her six daughters and three sons-in-law, Vickie and Russell WATASHE, Minnie and Rick WOLFE, Karen LONG and Sidney LONG, all of Okmulgee, Thomasine LONG of Mounds, and Lou Ann and Kenneth MESSER of Muskogee; her two sons, Bob LONG of Preston, and Guy LONG of Tulsa; 12 grandchildren; one brother, Alex FIXICO of Bethany; as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
