His date of death and the date of his funeral was not given. He was 41 years old. Funeral services were held at the Smith Funeral Chapel. No information on who officiated or the place of interment. He was a lifelong resident of Sapulpa. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was employed by the Southland Corporation. He was a member of the Church of God. He is survived by his wife, Rita MATNEY; his children, Lori MATNEY of MO, DeAnna BRADSHAW of Tulsa, Eva Connings of MO, Jeanette COLLEY of Glenpool, Amy TAYLOR of Mead, and Debra MONDIER, and Tommy L. MATNEY, both of the home; brothers, Billy MATNEY, Bobby MATNEY, Buddy MATNEY, and Jerry MATNEY, all of Sapulpa; and six grandchildren.
