He died January 19, 1993, in Tulsa. Funeral services were held January 21 at the Merritt Cottage Chapel with Rev. Chris HARJO officiating. Pallbearers were Louie Dean SEVIER, James SEIVER, David JOHNSON, Rocky HOOD, Mike HOOD, and Alvin POTTS. No information was given on the place of interment. He was a laborer. He had served in World Ward II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of Little Coweta Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Amanda Thompson SEIVER. He married Nora Ellen CLARK in Okmulgee in November 1937. She died on August 29, 1955. He also was preceded in death by two sisters, Annie SEVIER and Blanche SEVIER; and one brother, Willie SEVIER. His survivors include his three daughters, Shirley SEVIER of Guthrie, Carolyn POWELL of Okmulgee, and Phyllis JOHNSON of Broken Arrow; his two sons, Ben H. SEVIER, Jr., and Tom SEVIER, both of Tulsa; three brothers, Tom SEVIER of Maud, Louis “Buster” SEVIER of Hitchita, and Charles SEVIER of Okmulgee; one sister, Lena SEVIER of Hitchita; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
