He died in January 1993. No day of death was given. Funeral services were held January 21 at the Merritt Cottage Chapel with Rev. Chris HARJO officiating. No information was given on the place of interment. He worked as a laborer and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Little Coweta Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Amanda Thompson SEVIER; his wife, the former Nora CLARK, whom he married in 1937 in Okmulgee; two sisters, Annie and Blanche (no last names given); and one brother, Willie SEVIER. His survivors include his three daughters, Shirley SEVIER of Guthrie, Carolyn POWELL of Okmulgee, and Phyllis JOHNSON of Broken Arrow; his two sons, Ben H. SEVIER and Tom SEVIER, both of Tulsa; three brothers, Tom SEVIER of Maude, Louis SEVIER of Hitchita, and Charles SEVIER of Okmulgee; one sister, Lena SEVIER of Hitchita; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews.
