He died December 24, 1992, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Funeral services were held in his home December 28 and on December 29 at the Community Indian Baptist Church, where he was a member. Officiating the service was Rev. Truit JOHNS and Rev. Newman KELLY. Burial was in the Sunrise Cemetery. He worked at Liberty Glass for 19 years and at Oaks Country Club until he retired. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Waltrip WATASHE, and his son, Andrew WATASHE. His survivors include sons, Louis WATASHE, James WATASHE, Jr., Lawrence WATASHE, and Roman WATASHE; and a daughter, Dorothy Watashe LEE; a step-son, Smith WILLIAMS, Jr.; a step-daughter, Neta June BAILEY; 33 grandchildren, 90 great-grandchildren, 31 great-great grandchildren, and five step-grandchildren.
