He died February 17, 1994, at Holdenville. Funeral services were held February 21 at Many Springs Baptist Church, where he was a member. The services were officiated by Rev. Jimmy ANDERSON and Rev. James BRUNER. Pallbearers were Wiley WASHINGTON, Chebon BUCK, John BUCK, Mitchell BUCK, Otis BUCK, B.J. BUCK, Jackie SIEGRIST, Jr., and Jackie STINGER. Honorary pallbearers were Abraham GOODEN, Richard ANDERSON, Bontie ABERNATHY, Cleo ORR, Paul DUNN, Fred LOWE, B.T. FISH, James MCCOSAR, Lewis MCCOSAR, and Mike MOONEY. Interment was in the McCosar Cemetery. He attended Spaulding School and Haskell Institute and served in both the Pacific and European theaters during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan and Alice BUCK; three brothers, Jake BUCK, Frankie BUCK, and Otis BUCK; and a sister, Jeanette BUCK. His survivors include his wife, Bernita BUCK, of the home; his children and their spouses, Ramona and Tony FAULKNER of Claremore, Steve BUCK of Indiana, and Richard and Barbara BUCK of Tulsa; grandchildren, Tonya FAULKNER of Claremore, Mary BUCK of Tulsa, Chris LOVATO of Ft. Hood, TX, Jason LOVATO of the home, and Jamie KIRKLAND, Brandon LOWE, Ronnie BUCK, and Alicia BUCK, all of Holdenville; five brothers, Vernon BUCK of Del City, Nathan BUCK of Pryor, and Sock BUCK, Robert BUCK, and J.W. BUCK, all of Holdenville; two sisters, Leona BROOKS of Orlando, FL, and Margaret SIEGRIST of Holdenville; aunts, Nellie MCCOSAR of Sapulpa, Vivian MCCOSAR of Tulsa, Lizzie FACTOR and Ollie WOODS, both of Wewoka; and several nieces and nephews.
