He died January 28, 1994, in Tulsa. Funeral services were held February 1 at Thewarle Baptist Church, where he was a member. Rev. Mitchell TAYLOR officiated the service. Pallbearers were Gaines BUNNY, Farron BUNNY, David SLOAD, Bobby FRYE, Johnny FRYE, and Johnny FRYE, Jr. Interment was in the Fife Family Cemetery. He was a retired Muscogee Nation security guard and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Harjo BUNNY; his parents, George and Sallie Hanson BUNNY; a brother, James BUNNY, and a sister, Irene Odom BUNNY. He was survived by his children, Betty BUNNY and Dennis BUNNY, both of Okmulgee; son-in-law, David SLOAN of Okmulgee, and grandsons, David and Simon SLOAN of the home; a sister, Lorene BAKER of Stillwater; three brothers, Newman “Doc” BUNNY of Bristow, Clarence “Dick” BUNNY of Glenpool, and George “Buddy” BUNNY of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
