He died January 4, 1994, in Oklahoma City. Funeral services were held January 8 at Grave Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Robert WASHINGTON officiating, assisted by Rev. Chris HARJO and Rev. Legus LOWE. Pallbearers were Younger CARPETCHER, Thomas DUNN, John BEAR, Jr., Monty KERNELL, Frankie WALKER, and Thomas GENTRY. Honorary pallbearers were Stuart WILLIAMS, Erick POSTOAK, Kelly FIXICO, and Robert WASHINGTON, Jr. Interment was in the Grave Creek Cemetery. He was an electrician and the son of Martin JOSHUA and Janie BEAR, who survive. He was preceded in death by an uncle, John BEAR. In addition to his parents, his other survivors include his maternal grandmother, Alice FREEMAN of Oklahoma City; paternal grandmother, Annie GOODEN of Holdenville; brothers, Fous AHAISSE and Coacoche AHAISSE, both of Shawnee, and Todd JOSHUA and Mark JOSHUA, both of Oklahoma City; sisters, Regina JOSHUA and Alicia JOSHUA, both of Oklahoma City, and Takoche AHAISSEE of Shawnee; stepbrother, Frankie WALKER of Oklahoma City; six aunts; three uncles; a niece, a nephew, and a host of friends.
