He died May 31, 1994, at the Creek Nation Community Hospital at Okemah. Funeral services were held June 4 at Greenleaf Baptist Church. No information was given on the place of interment. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice JOHNSON; two daughters, Francis JOHNSON and Evelyn JOHNSON; and a son, Bill JOHNSON. He was survived by two sons, Jimmy JOHNSON and Van JOHNSON of the home; four daughters, Mary ROBERTS and Barbara HERNANDEZ, both of Oklahoma City, Shirley TALAMASEY and Marie VASQUEZ, both of Okemah; and a foster daughter, Yvonne JORDAN of Seminole; 10 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
