He died February 11, 1994, from gunshot wounds. No other details on his funeral or interment were available at press time. A memorial was planned at a later time. He was a 1972 graduate and all-state baseball player of Edison High School, a pitcher on the University of Oklahoma’s 1975 Big Eight Conference Baseball Championship team, and was drafted by the Oakland Athletics major league baseball team in 1978. He was an employee of the Tulsa County court clerk’s office and had been an employed as a Bingo employee with Creek Nation in Tulsa. He played four years in the minor leagues. He was the nephew of Muskogee District representative to Creek Nation, Helen CHUPCO. He was the grandson of the late Billy and Bessie PALMER. He is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Frances PALMER, Sr.; and his sisters, Tracey Lee PALMER of Norman, and Haley Jo PALMER of the home.
