He died in July 1995. No day of death was given. Graveside services were held July 25 with a U.S. Navy chaplain officiating. No information was given on the place of the funeral. Interment was in the Okmulgee Cemetery. He was a graduate of Okmulgee High School and Oklahoma State University at Stillwater, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and a school teacher. He also spent many years in municipal government. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Maywood and Hettie Ashley BRIAN; two sisters; and one brother. He was survived by his wife, Shelley Anne BRIAN; his daughters, Dr. Dana BRIAN, and Jill HOLLEMAN, and her husband, Arthur Lee HOLLEMAN; his sons, Buck BRIAN and Dr. Michael BRIAN; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a niece and two nephews.
