JESSEE was born December 10, 1902, at Bixby, Indian Territory. She died August 3, 1995, at Tulsa. Memorial services were held August 19 at First Presbyterian Church, where she was a member. At her request, her body was donated to Oklahoma Health Science Medical School. She was an original allottee and a retired Tulsa County Courthouse employee, the Muscogee Nation Advisory Council recording secretary during the terms of appointed Principal Chief Dode MCINTOSH. She also edited the tribal newsletter during her eight years as secretary. She was a member of the Past Grand Ruth Order of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willoughby and Cordia SWINGLE; and her husband Garland JESSEE. She was survived by her daughters, Mary Louise ADAIR, Lalah Joann ADAIR, and Patricia GOETZ, all of Tulsa, Carolyn LAY of Rogers, AR, and Alice NEIGHBORS of Oklahoma City; her son, Jerry JESSEE of Oklahoma City; brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Ruby SWINGLE of Bixby; 10 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
