She died in October 1995. No day of death was given. Wake services were held October 25 at Robert Simons Funeral Home followed by funeral services on October 26 at Wekiwa Baptist Church, where she was a member. Officiating the funeral was Pastor Newman Pete KELLY. Interment was in Memorial Park, Tulsa. She was a retired employee of Tulsa Regional Medical Center laundry department. She was baptized at Weogufkee Baptist Church, but cofounded Wekiwa Baptist Church when she was a young girl. She became known as the mother of the church at Wekiwa. She was the daughter of Willie MCQUEEN and Kogee SMITH, both deceased. She was survived by her daughter, Ada STEVENS; her son David MCQUEEN; two grandchildren, Garrett White Bear GIBBS and Jessica MUSSER; and nieces and nephews.
