She died April 23, 1995, at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services were held at Pickett Chapel United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Officiating the service were Rev. Julienne JUDD and Roy BIGPOND. No information was given on the place of interment. She was a graduate of Nathan Hale High School in Tulsa and Haskell Institute in Lawrence, KS. She also attended Northern Community College. She retired from Indian Health Service Division of Program Statistics after 30 years where she had also won an award for meritorious service. She was a member of the American Indian Society of Washington, D.C. She was preceded in death by her son, Derick TIMENTWA. She was survived by her parents, July and Mae TULSA; her daughter, Kimberly TULSA of Tulsa; a grandson, David Aaron TULSA; three brothers, Johnathan TULSA and Gary BERRYHILL, both of Mounds, and Anthony TULSA of Tulsa; four sisters, Gloria WARE of Coweta, Genelle MEYER and Juanita THOMPSON, both of Mounds, and Kathy TULSA of Tulsa; a special friend, Don PENISKA of Arlington, VA; and other relatives and friends.
